Ubuntu in Windows

Yes, you read that correctly. Ubuntu 14.04 LTS built directly into a Windows 10 subsystem. This is native. Not something virtualized or Linux like (e.g. Cygwin). It is just there.

Currently it is not available as open source, but it does allow Windows 10 users to have access to access all the Ubuntu binary packages thru a Ubuntu (bash) shell in a cmd.exe like window.

They are still working out some of the kinks and it is expected to be upgraded to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS shortly.
